For like the past year ive had to run my computer without graphic drivers installed, reason being is when i install nvidia drivers i reboot and get to the login screen in windows and my screen flicks on and off on and off constantly while also having a blurry image and sometimes multi-coloured pixel stripes. Its pritty much impossible to do anythin when its like this, the computers run extremely slow and its impossible to read really!

System is

ABIT NF7 Nforce 2
2500+
512mb DDR3200

Which graphics card? Start with the obvious and check refresh rates.

I have exactley the same problem with a similar setup:

Abit Via Mobo
Inno nVidia 6200 something AGP card.

As soon as I put any "offical" drivers on the display goes weird; artifacting on buttons and shizzle. Plus the screen occasionally switches on and off.

I havent found a solution yet either, sorry.

Oh, all I meant is that it doesnt work with the "Offical" nVidia drivers, nor the innotech drivers that came with the card.

I havent tried any others yet but I might give the Omegas a go at the weekend.

Isnt this a monitor problem cause the drivers cant read the monitors v/h refresh rate? Its sounds like the problem i had with some laptops

A bit strange though as mine is a 17" TFT (make/model escapes me) but I dont have the problem with anyother brand of card.

I sorted this out over the weekend :D

Brummie was pretty much on the money, my problem was that the monitor wasnt putting out a complete block of information and so the nVidia drivers were screwing !

Here is what I did:

Installed PowerStrip.
Uninstalled the monitor from Device manager.
Shut down
Disconnected the monitor from the DVI port (w/ convertor).
Plugged monitor into VGA output
Booted into VGA mode
Set the monitor to its native res and refresh rate (1280*1024@75).
Ran PowerStrip and got it to read the information directly from the monitor.
Filled in the missing boxes Manufacturer/Model and V-refresh rate.
Saved the PowerStrip config as a .inf driver file.
Uninstalled the monitor (again).
Shut down.
Swapped monitor back to DVI w/ convertor
Booted into VGA mode.
Went into device manager and upgraded the monitor driver using the .inf exported from PowerStrip.
Set the graphics settings to 1280*1024*75.

Job done :)
