Title: Metacritic Experiment
Post by: maximusotter on April 23, 2007, 00:15:23 AM
I found an album with the highest average rating, 95%, and listened to it to see if genius is in consensus...my goodness did it suck. The Fields "Here We Go Sublime". Its horrible. I can like anything if its done well--but an hour of nothing but 4/4 beats at the exact same tempo with NOTHING occurring of interest. TORTURE! Its like ambient music for people whose resting heart rate is 12bpm. Dont get this album!!

Noooo, its gone forEVER!!!

I tried another, LCD Soundsystems "Sound of Silver". Its electronic dancy type stuff, and got an "88%". Actually its quite funny and silly. Lots of Talking Heads and Frankie Goes to Hollywood flavor. Its a keeper. :D
