in vista, "windows mail" repleces outlook express....
whish is fine... its a nice program, its just OE with a few anti spam options etc....
BUT...
you cant have your contacts list shown on the bottom left like before !
how dumb is that... every time you want to email someone you have to open up the contacts window then dubble click them.
I quite like vista appart from this... Im strugerling with printer and gfx drivers.. but Im cool with that, its no biggie... I can wait for those....
but wtf? no contacts list? screw that :s
Try mozilla thunderbird out?
Other things are..
You can type an individual name in the start menu search and the e-mail address shows up in the communications area
OR
You can add a gadget contacts list to your gadgets bar
Cant you just type their name in the To: field of the email and it picks it up like in OE?
E.g:

Id already typed Sam and it filled in Stephens.
I have never used OE :D I use Foxmail
yeah i could do all of that stuff.... use a different program, add my contacts into the bar thing on the left... tho disabling that was one of the first things I did... was a waste of space.. could even type the first name in etc....
but I licked clicking on peoples names god damn it !
