Ive been trying to get 4 of these things to work, and they wont!
They worked previously, but a change of router by BT has meant that they no longer connect to the wifi network. Problem is that BT took the old router away for disposal, so I cant just duplicate the same settings on the BT Business Router (its a 2-Wire).
I can connect them to a laptop, and browse to the LAN Stand config menu, and change settings, but for some reason they just wont join the network. Apparently when they set them up the first time they just browsed to them, and entered the wifi information. I doubt thats all they did, but they dont know what else to do, and they dont have the install guide as the guy who set them up has left, and they cant find it.
Can anyone help here?
Despite the fact that IMO 2Wire are the one of the worst, if not the worst SOHO brand router on the market. I dont see why you cannot change the SSID? I have never found that an issue.
Are they trying to connect to the AP SSID or the Fusion network SSID?
I can change it all if I like, however the issue is that normally with stuff like this I would have just duplicated the SSID, WiFi password and IP Address pool so that the machines dont see any difference. However BT took it away, so Ive nothing to say how things used to be set up. The internal support guy they had has left, and they have opted to not replace him for now until a contract is confirmed. This means Im working int he dark by and large because no f**ker knows where he put the documentation (i KNOW it existed because half of it was done by me), and were a bit stumped on what the settings should be. Im going to reset the entire WiFi network, because slapping an old WRT614G on there allows them to connect with no issues, but I prefer not to use such a sloppy work around.
arse, that didnt work!
Im open to suggestions if anyone has any!
edit :: they connected to the wifi network, but wont find the Mitel controller.
