Excellent read. Excellent site actually.
Some good suggestion there.
Eagle vs Shark was definitely a good film.
Black Snake Moan sounds awesome too.
Black Snake Moan was okay, great for some Ricci flesh. :)
Ive seen BSM and it is actually surprisingly good, and Ricci looks less freakish as a blonde :|
Girl next door Ive seen bits of and want to watch fully.
City of Ember I watched tother night and wasnt surprised by how it didnt do too well, given the really dark vibes I was getting from the film, its pretty grim for what I thought was meant to be a kids film.
I went through there trying to pick out the ones I at least knew of if I hadnt seen.
Then I came across The Notorious Bettie Page and I have to agree with what was written and it should be shown to damn near everyone.
I happened upon it on of all things BBC iPlayer and decided to have a peak it being something so strange to see on there. It was good, it was better than good, it didnt really feel like a movie more a situation you had been put in. The atmosphere was great and it shows a very dark past to Americas sensibilities which still hangs around today.
Going by the fact it was on the list I am going to go to the trouble of watch each on the list because the writer obviously managed to find these films from obscurity and that speaks volumes to me.
P.S. Death at a Funeral is amazing I was one of the few people who went to see it at the cinema and I really must get it on DVD
Open Water? :disappointed:
Was just about to say, that on the list I agree with the ones Ive seen, and even the rest seem to sound/look quite good.
But open water is pretty pants. From a diving POV its fairly scary, but from a film point of view its utmost crap :(

Sums it up, real line from the film ><
From that list Ive seen Black Snake Moan, Fearless, Ghost Town, Stardust and The Lookout and thought all were excellent in their own ways, although Fearless goes without saying for me as a huge Jet Li fan.
I really want to see Kiss Kiss Bang Bang and still havent managed it, anything Shane Black is involved in ends up being great in my book.
Id also like to see City of Ember and Grindhouse is one of those that you can catch up on any time really.
meh
Ive seen about 10 of them.... none really stand out.
What happened to the recommend a film thread?
hey please do yourselfs a favour and watch Fearless!
If you like anything Jet Li has done you will love this.
It you liked Hero, or Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon, or the last Samuri then you will love this.
Im a fanboy of Martial Arts films, but Im not exagerating by saying Fearless is as good, if not one of the better proper martial arts films of recent times!
I think Ill have to watch fearless again some time. I watched bits of it a while back when my parents were watching it. I have kind of been put off martial arts films from the likes of Crouching Tiger and Flying Dagers, as I really cant stand the wire-fighting stuff. From the description on this site though it sounds like its a return to proper grass-roots fighting though!

Why is Ganfranco Zola in this movie??
City of Ember was pretty good. Zak and Miri was awesome!
Really want to see Frailty - anything with Hudson in it is on my watch list! :)
Ghosttown is a great movie.
