QuoteThe basic idea of Prism is that it's a "distraction free browser" – essentially, it strips away the entire UI of a browser and leaves the user with only the page they are using. How Prism differs from other DFB efforts, such as Adobe's AIR project or Microsoft's Silverlight is that Prism isn't a proprietary platform. It conforms to all of the current standards in web protocol and simply integrates the webpage into the desktop.
Im sure you could do that using any javascript browser and a javascript "loader" page that hides the offending toolbars and ajaxes the target page into view.
*meh*
edit:
I take it back, its a bit more tricky than I though ;)
I cannot pass a URL to a local HTML file from a shortcut, otherwise Id have been away with my own* version ;)
The idea what you could create a windows shortcut to page.html?target=www.whatever.com
and when the browser launched it would "kiosk" mode that window. But it doesnt work, so whatever :p
*own is as much as I cut and paste the code snippets together ;)
If they fixed their damn browser in the first place it would help.
What do you know, a new Firefox update to fix bugs they reintroduced in the last update. What a team
