Title: My first YouTube Video
Post by: Walrusbonzo on June 22, 2007, 22:07:00 PM
Woo, just put up my first YouTube video.  Some of you will have heard the song before.

Sound and picture quality is a bit sh*t due using my mobile, but its was still fun to record and watch back :D  Never realised I moved my head so much

Ive posted a few of my tracks on here before to mixed reactions.....  I just havent got the time/will and/or similar minded people around me to help make it happen.  I.E. finish any of my tracks.

One day though, one day.....

Im setting up a mini studio in my spare room in august/september. Ive got a pro tools setup with midi interface for strings / orechestral and condenser mics for guitars vocals. If you fancy recording some tracks I am looking for some acoustic artists to record to get some production experience?

Ill have to see about that.  Im not really much of an acoustic type player.  Much prefer a good thrash out on my electric.  Looking to recruit for a band at the moment.  Thanks for the offer! :-)

Very nice mate! Id love to hear a well produced recording of your stuff :)

A few constructives (if you dont mind)
Itd be cool if the instrumental parts flowed a bit better rather than being so "sectioned" (if you know what I mean?) Very nice choice of harmony though. It works really well :)

Also, it doesnt seem to have a hook. That one line that stays in your head that really sticks out. Hooks dont have to be cheesy though :)

Make some more videos! And I envy you and your voice.. I would absolutely love to be able to sing but I just cant.. So all my compositions are fully instrumental.

Yeah hooks....  Guess its just the way I write, I dont try and think too much about the "proper" way of writing, I just do whatever comes.

Im really not that good a singer, I need a lot of work and vocal training.  Besides, I really want a band and if I had one I wouldnt be the singer.  Playing the guitar is where my true love lies.

And who left a comment of "Get your tits out" ???

Cant whistle, good enough at playing the guitar, NEEEEEEEEDS singing lessons.

You are restricting your breathing, you need to breath more deeply and sing from your stomach, not the back of your throat. and relax a bit more, overall you are making your voice reedy.
