Title: My speakers have found religion...
Post by: zpyder on May 24, 2009, 20:51:48 PM
It seems if I have my speakers turned on, but the volume turned off, they pick up a fanit radio channel or something. I could make out some preacher talking about the bible and quoting passages from it just now :|

My old sh*t pc speakers used to do the same thing. Dodgy wiring was the cause.

Sure this is a recognized phenomenon that gets worse with warm weather and for some reason seems to happen more in the evening.

I remember getting annoying interference listening to AM radio stations back in the day from American radio stations.

Not unusual TBH.  Probably a local church has a badly configured, or cheap (Illegal) wireless Mic they picked up off ebay for a song.  Local theatre had a similar problem with a nightclub a few years back.  Was amusing to hear the crappy DJs ranting on over the top of some dumb-sh*t musical I was being forced to watch.

I used to occasionally get taxi companies on mine, I was mildly freeked out the first time it happened until I realised what was going on.
