Title: Myspace mobile
Post by: karl on January 10, 2007, 19:05:27 PM
Its sort of an interest of mine to question this..

I know myspace doesnt have an API. I also know that some company is doing myspace mobile as a proprietary service for cellphones in America.

I also know that Myspace uses standard http protocol, and you dont need to worry about private/public key encryption.

With this in mind, is it possible to develop a script that scrapes the contents of your myspace messages page after accepting a valid username and password?

Im not interested in hearing whether youre a fan of myspace or not unfortunately, and this question could easily be applied to any other forms-based web application.

Does this fall under Cross Site Scripting if Im planning to host this stuff myself?

Any thoughts?

Cheers,

Karl.
