Title: NAS OS
Post by: Binary Shadow on June 10, 2013, 10:52:44 AM
Not sure if any exist but I'm looking for a NAS OS that has a web based file manager or a plug in that will do it.

Got FreeNAS running in test but doesn't seem to have one, my QNAP has it and its great.

Anyone know of a free OS with it or a plug in for one?

Cheers

Think there is a possibly an open source port of the qnap/synology os out there. No idea what it's called though or if it's still available. I think I stumbled on it when looking to make my own qnap/synology device.

Currently attempting to get ajaxplorer running in a jail on the freenas, limited knowledge of Linux (FreeBSD) and its associated packages is slowing me down but found some forum posts/guides.

Looks like ajaxplorer running in the jail on freenas works well enough for this :D
