Title: Nothing on the screen
Post by: mr_roll on February 08, 2009, 21:17:39 PM
ok, so I have a computer its a Socket A computer.

Nothing at all comes on the screen.
The screen works.
The POST doesnt appear.
Even the "American Megatrends" things doesnt come up

So Ive replaced the agp graphics card with a totally different AGP card. Still nothing. I changed the motherboard then and today Ive changed the PSU as I thought it may be one of the voltage rails not providing the power.

The only other thing left I can try is a different (or no) case.

Although has anyone got any ideas? It sounds like ait boots up normally, although I cant tell as I cant see anything on the screen.

Oh when plugging the screen in it goes from saying "no input" to just having a orange light on the monitor, as if the PC is turned off.

The monitor works with my laptop, with the same cable.
I have tried plugging the computer into my other monitor, with different cable and still nothing, just the orange light.

I have tried a different CPU, I think and I have tried a different mobo.

I tried booting up with no ram in there and still the same too

is the internal speaker connected ?  get any beeps ?

if dont get any beeps without the ram in then its either a dead m/b or a dead cpu
