insane isnt it.

i also found another optimus concept, which is going into production as well, the optimus upravlator, aimed at graphics/cad/animation folks, to save us doing stupid shortcuts all the time.

the 2nd one isnt very "new" though.  I had something similar on my desk at previous job with terminal services windows shrunk on a 19" touchscreen.  If you wanted to bring up a particular server you just tapped the screen with the server you wanted like a KVM.

its just a 3x4 user definable keyboard with bells and whistles, really not clear what all the fuss is about.

you could get 95% of the functionality for about 1% of the cost by building a 12 key keyboard with interchangeable button tops. Wouldnt have the geek cool factor, but given that most people only seriously use one or two apps it would serve the same purpose for most of us.

first is a blatant cash in on the iphone/ipod touch hype

all optimus seem to do is release possible hardware ideas at stupid prices.

i doubt that first one would match the quality or capability of the multi-touch screen on the iphone without ridiculous cost.

have any of these things actually been released yet in colour, and not just 4 keys on their own?

ooo, i thought they where £1500 ish, not £230 ish.

Im almost tempted.  If they where £150 or below id just order one for the nerdiness of it.

We seem to keep forgetting to select the right keyboard :D

£938.35 for the full keyboard. But that may not include delivery or taxes.
