Ive got an odd issue that Ive never got round to sorting out.
Since I installed XP64, I have this weird little problem watching anything using any media player, or even with Youtube. Basically the video will pause for about 2 seconds whilst the audio continues as normal, and then the video will catch-up by playing very quickly to the point at which the audio has got to (happens no matter which media player I use, or the source of the media - DVD, HDD, streaming etc). Ive noticed it to a similar, but lesser extent in games too.
As far as I know I have the lastest drivers for everything, latest BIOS, and have had this problem with two different graphics card (ATI & Nvidia). Other than this little problem my system works flawlessly. I didnt experience this with XP32.
Anyone got any ideas?
Maybe try a new codec pack? Other than that Im not sure
Any particular suggestions, I just google for the latest K-Lite every couple of months?
Im using Vista Codec Pack on XP on my laptop and HTPCs and get very little problems on normal and HD films compared to other packs I have used.
It seems a bit more reliable than XP codec pack, even tho I am running XP.
Just make sure you un-install all codecs before adding a new pack.
I have tried all the main packs and personally found this one to run better.
Cheers, will give it a go.
