they both look ok... pretty good for the proce really... something you have to watch with these systems is the PSU... its proabably a pos :o

also... Im in a hurry so dont have time to look right now... but is there one with a m/b that will take the new quad core cpus ?   (amd or intel)

the ones you linked are pretty good spec and should easily do anthing you like... just if they are compatible with the quad cores... then in a year when you want to upgrade you can just slot in another cpu and be fully up-to-date again :-)

how much do you actually want to spend, and what type of spec do you actually need?  Seen a couple of very good deals on the little Acer media PCs with 19" TFT.  PcWorld had them in for £275 at my local branch.

They both have a radeon X1250 GPU, which isnt the hottest one around for games, perfectly OK for business apps tho.

QuoteFrom a gamers point of view the AMD RADEON 1250 is the best available integrated graphics chipset on the market bar none. Modern games like Oblivion, Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter, Prey, and Star Trek Legacy are practically unplayable on the integrated graphics as the games require a lot of horsepower to play them well. The modern game requires an add-on card like the X1950 Pro at least to really enjoy them to the fullest. Its not that you cant play those games on AMDs new chipset, its to really enjoy the games you need a better card.

So if you want 3D performance look elsewhere or be prepared to add the price of a graphics card - check it has a slot for one, even if you dont intend to upgrade this year.

Otherwise the power supply is a bit meh but the price is reasonable.

Question, whats your present rig like? If it will stand it then it might be better to just stick with what you have.
