Ive had enough, anyone else having problems?
Im giving them another fortnight before I go mentalist on their ass.
My problem is download speeds, if I see anything going at above 300k I wet myself with excitment. Oddly enough gaming is perfect, probably better than it has ever been, very low pings and virtually no disconnects.

move to plusnet, i can refer you, and in a month ill be doing your tech support :D
Aye, just a little problem of a £70 cancellation fee :(
speed is most likely due to distance from exchange.
... and as you have found higher speed is not linked to lower ping times in anyway !
Low ping and few disconnects is all I ask of an ISP and I will take that every time over getting a higher speed.
I only get just under 200Kb/s on a good day, but thats cos Im miles from the exchange.
Im with Eclipse 8Mb and my speed is dandy. Service is good and support are quick and helpful too (although Im on business line, it should be similar).

Im less than 300yds from the exchange, and this problem only started about a month ago.
Have you elimiated your router as a possible problem?
At 8am everything is fine, as soon as it hits 9am speeds fall to what you can see above.
Im gonna assume that youre on the evolution broadband package then.
They give you lower priority between ~ 8am and midnight especially for p2p stuff.
The reason your gaming performance has prolly increased is because unlike other ISPs they know what they are doing. Chances are they noticed that stuff was getting slow so decided to up their QoS a bit to make sure ping times remained low.
Id either change/upgrade your package or stay happy in the knowledge you have a responsive connection and schedule your downloads when youre asleep.
I would also give them a friendly call and explain what you are seeing. Thou I suspect they will say what Ive said above (are their new houses in the area ? this could explain why it started - higher contention ratio)
Im in contact with them atm, got a ticket being serviced with results of 3 days worth of speed tests, will have to see what they say.
No new houses round here that I know of, I dont think a download speed of 190kB/s is suitable for £20 a month.
