Post by: neXus on February 08, 2007, 02:38:59 AM
Watching a games show they have a cable in the psp and could be output to a large screen/tv.

I can find a crappy funnel on the screen thing on the web but nothing decent, anything out there yet?

I was under the impression that the PSP can AV in and out? Read somewhere regarding using my 10" portable dvd player as a screen, which worked amazingly with a specific cable. But while browsing for this info, i read somewhere that you can do this with the psp also... why you would want to is beside the point lol, would be great to play your classic dreamcast games or n64 on your little psp screen.

I just wanted to plug it into large screens to see the movie output and games as well as ability to record.

Gamespot will have live shows with someone with psp and wire running out and you can see it on the screen playing so it has out, just need to know what the cable is.

I remember Team Extender working on a mod that allowed video out.  There were also mods that involved sticking something over the screen that captured it and displayed on your tv.  The PSP does not have video output.

tis probably possible if you took the thing apart and copied the signal to the screen and processed it, but unless you have a few spare to brick whilst you try and do this i wouldnt advise it

Watch UMD movies and play PSP games on the big screen with the Play on TV Adaptor for PSP.  Patented, CCD sensor technology views the image on the PSP screen and transfers it via included RCA cables to the television.  The Play on TV Adaptor easily snaps onto the front of the PSP and works instantly while still allowing access to the UMD door.  No complex installation or modification of the PSP is required.  The device is easy to use and provides auto image adjustment allowing for the best image possible with no input required from the user.  Now it is possible to enjoy all those PSP games and movies at home on the sofa in front of the TV.  The Play on TV Adaptor even recharges the PSP while in use.
