Hello,

I wonder if anyone could possibly point me in the direction of a source for the Sata drivers for the ASROCK 775i65G motherboard? I wish to add a Sata drive and Install Windows XP home on it but I believe I need the Sata drivers first. Ive been to the ASROCK site but I couldnt see anything for that motherboard.

I think its probably the one listed as "INF driver" on that site ?

I downloaded it, but cant run it because Im on vista, I think it will probably make a floopy disk for you when you stick a blank one in the drive ?

did a quick google for you, can;t really see much information...

SATA should just work, shouldnt need to do the F2 thing unless youre going RAID or have a weirdo setup.
I know sh*ts bad right now with all that starving bullsh*t and the dust storms and we are running out of french fries and burrito coverings.

Its allways possible you have RAID turned on the Hard Drive plugged into a RAID specific sata port.  Which would explain why you cant see the drive in installation.

You really shouldnt need a driver.

Just checking if you fixed this but,

It seems those boards can be funny with certain SATA drives, the Bios has been updated to include a few HDD's.

The updated Bios can be found here, be careful when updating your Bios, if in any doubt ask a friend with more experience to do it for you.

The nVidia sata drives in my HP mini (ION chipset) don't install with standard windows XP - I have to make a custom XP image using nLite for it to work :)
