Title: Screenshot idea...
Post by: Serious on June 12, 2012, 07:08:30 AM
It's fairly easy in games to produce a normal screenshot the same as the screen resolution. This idea requires something a little different. What I am after is rotating the picture 90 degrees and preferably getting an image that is larger than the actual screen resolution.

So on my 1920*1080 landscape I would initially get 1080*1920 portrait.

What I would really like to get is a 1600 * 2560 or preferably even higher resolution picture.

The reason being I would like to print out a couple of screens onto A1 or even A1. Even better if I can produce images for others that they can keep. For that sort of work 1080 isn't going to be a good option.

Any ideas?  :worried:

Yes, it was one of mine, and it looks young but remember it's just dots from a computer program. It's was assassin and I'm useless at that class so I deleted it.

Only reason I kept the screenshot was it looks painted. Some cropping and a resample later...

I'm not sure how you would accomplish this in one shot for that frame without having the hardware/resolution set high enough in game (does anyone know what happens if you print screen a multi-display game? I'm assuming you get a full resolution image)

Indeed the only way I can think of is actually going to that resolution :/

Yeo Clock'd you get a uber widescreen screenshot ;)

I had to Google what an Elin was, first result:

More to the point, filthy minded Koreans!

Its purely because they have a tiny hitbox so better for PVP!! :P

Proportionately very small toons are common in games where PvP is allowed, Aion has them too. Problem is they make a right racket while running due to short legs having to work faster.

The looks of the Elin probably have as much to do with the Japanese as Korean.

Then there are the huge donkey ears...  :gag:

In Aeon you can create fairly lifelike toons, like that assassin. You can also create very ugly looking ones. I've seen both in large numbers. Nobody questions your choice.

Similarly, if you have a 'ranger pet' that can attack, then the largest ones are very popular in PVP simply because they block the enemy's view

Oh Tera is pure korean (same guys as Aion) - I love how they 'censored' the EU/NA release by giving them hotpants - as for the donkey ears oh you can choose bunny or fox lmao.

The smaller stature and hit box comes into play a lot more in tera than other MMO's because people actually have to aim and hit you, can't target and hit a spell.

As you said though most my toons are Human / Elf and extremely well detailed... then you have big races and f**king panda/badger/things... man Asian RPG's are always a bit crazy.

Tera's rangers don't have pets, in fact only Mystic healers do and they suck ;)
