Title: See those Dots on your screen?
Post by: neXus on September 12, 2011, 02:56:51 AM
Those white or blue tint dots you get on your LCD screen and have likely seen them.
I always thought they were the screen dying or you do indeed have a dead pixel.
Apparently not. HDMI and DVI cables which are faulty or fail create these as well so simply replacing a cable can fix these up. They apparently are called "sparkles".
You lean stuff all the time, I did not know this.

I've never seen anything like this, but I've heard of sparkles on very long lengths of HDMI cables, usually cheap ones.

I actually have this on an LCD and when home going to change the cable to see if it sorts it.
