QuoteUK researchers have developed software that represents a handsets battery life by using a phones speaker and vibrator to make a device feel and sound like it contains liquid. You give it a shake to find out how much is left.
This is very clever. The tilt sensors in modern phones are starting to be used in some unexpected ways...
There was a related thing the other day about holding a phone and a bluetooth device together and shaking them to have them sync together (using the same accelerometer pulses to have them handshake instead of needing to type in codes in both devices etc).

I like that :)
Now all they have to do is combine a mobile phone with a cocktail shaker...

Clever but a little pointless... whats wrong with an LCD readout? :?
