About to order a 37" LCD screen for my Xbox 360. Going to get the Hannspree 37" and this is going to reside in my study on a desk. Given this is a standard double bedroom is this going to be too big? Ill be sat on a sofa opposite the tv but width ways in the room.
Thoughts?
no.
It will look odd at first, but give it a day or 2 & it soons looks the norm.
My Cinema room is an unused bedroom (well its my puter room as well)
77" screen & Im about 2 meters away :-D
When the house is all done, its going downstairs with the pool table.
Except Im thinking of getting a bigger screen. Maybe 120" or 144"
A lot depends on if I have to move the pool table to see the whole screen or not.

On that far wall...
Go for a 26" or 32" both will still run the same resolution.
The reason for going smaller, means you will have extra cash to buy something decent:
Sony
LG
Sharp
etc
Seriously dont waste your money, once those kind of tvs go wrong the backup and support, stocked parts etc etc is crap.

well they always say, no no, itll be fine, and give you that look... but then once you get it out, theyre all "omg its too big"
My parents think my 32" Samsung is too big for my bedroom. From my bed its about 6-8ft away so thats pretty reasonable. Except when Im sat at my PC, Im only 2ft away from it.
As Donald Trump would say Think Big or go home! :)
The reason I have a (unused) 42" Plasma in my bedroom is parents think its too big for the living room. They went with a 32"
Its never too big if you have the space for the TV and to sit back from it
well 37" ordered - well have to see how it looks. Will post pics asap
Showing as shipped today! Cant wait to get Ace Combt 6 on this bad boy!! :D
Nah 1st thing you should do is get the SNES setup for big screen mario kart!!!

If youd said Mario Golf on the N64 I might have agreed!
I have a 47" in the front room, great for games but problematic for other stuff.
I have a 32" in my bedroom at the mo and for HD stuff from 9 feet away I would say it would certainly benefit from being bigger.
Once my house is ready Ill be looking for something between 40 and 50" for the lounge, depending on whats available for the grand mark then!
