Oh it would be a wonderful thing, however, it's such a large game so a massive project and we have seen way too many attempts of fan reboots fade and die I doubt this one will be finished but hey.. we can hope! :D
System Shock is one of those games that somehow passed me by despite all the rave reviews. If its anywhere as big as Half-Life though I think you're right it will be very lucky to get a full Source treatment.
Same as clocked, never actually played it before but heard lots of people go on about it, don't think the PC I had at the time would play it. If it gets as good a quality remake as Black Mesa then I'd certainly have a bash at it.
I also never really played it! The one big thing that my mates seemed to love was that something was always spawning to get you, that just pissed me off! :lol:

Yes!! And I've got a week off to play it!!
The game doesn't install from the CD - Setup complains about an NT system.
Grab the SS2Tool from Here (http://www.systemshock.org/index.php?topic=4141.0) and then drag the SHOCK folder from the CD to somewhere (eg. C:\Games\Shock) run the SS2Tool and point the install to the same DIR and done! They updated the tool the other day to also add the latest patch stuff.
I've been playing the last 3 hours, man I love this game but damn is it hard! but then again most games from pre-2000 were hard when we go back to them after having our hands held so much in modern gaming :P
