The appeal has worn off for me a little.  The fact that there are the bugs, makes it a real PITA.  I appreciate its an Alpha, but it feels like because theres a Halloween update coming, its OK to let some of these bugs go unfixed until then.
It also reads like we were getting regular weekly updates to the game, until recently when more and more people bought the game.  Maybe hes made his money and thats it?

Ill be back on there soon enough.

I havent been on because Ive been uber busy with work. Juggling a 33 hour technical demonstrator job at uni along with a 4 hour contract which is me part timing my old work. In reality the 33 hour job is more like 40 hours and I still have to do the 4 hour stuff at the weekends. Today was my first experience of demonstrating, 2 hours first thing doing seaweeds which wasnt an issue. It was the 5 hours solid after that talking about compositional analysis and how an inductively coupled plasma optical emission spectrometer works. Bearing in mind a week ago Id never touched the damn thing. It all went well though.

Theres that and the limited multiplayer capabilities and logging in every day to find the whole thing had progressed was a bit more disconcerting. Despite planning efforts it pretty much was a case of everyone doing what they like. It wasnt like the team efforts to build the sky towers in blockland. If I end up with free time I might try some texture packs and continue my single player experience as itd be great to play around with TNT and minecarts etc.

Itll be better when stuff works :D
People have built amazing villages in Minecraft, so maybe we should try that when it moves to Beta?

ive got a feeling you might be bang on there. he has made a fortune out the game allready and fixing it isnt going to get anymore, so why bother, just enjoy the cash and leave it as is.

knighty

zpyder..... make a plan

big multi=player structures / plans are much better than all the individual stuff !

Clock'd 0Ne

Yeah the only reason Ive not been on is because ive been working every evening.

We should plan a huge project like a city or something. Give each person a building or something each to do.

zpyder

Well I still want to make a city in perpetual darkness...either a dome or subterranean and lit by lava lamps. It would certainly make things interesting when monsters come in.

knighty

that would be fun when the monsters kick in....

we could start a new world, ignore everything else and block out the sky....  and once were done soopa could save that world and store it away until the monsters start...

Mongoose

we dont know who struck first, but we do know that it was US who scorched the sky

soopahfly

Just say the word, Ill save this map and load another.
