Title: Tekforums must watch movies thread
Post by: DEViANCE on April 03, 2011, 21:20:43 PM
I'm trying to expand my movie collection so have been watching alot of films that are old skool classics that have slipped through my net.

Currently have Bladerunner on while I type this, so far so good.

Anyone want to add some more, must watch before you die films? old skool and modern...

Some films I'm meaning to/have started going through that I 'missed':

Fear & Loathing in Las Vegas
A Scanner Darkly
Memento
Mulholland Drive

I'll add some more later as I think of them.

I also really want to get hold of Robocop 1/2 to watch as I've not seen them in years.

started to add some of the suggestions to the OP, keep them coming.

looking on IMDB is too easy egg, also they are too influenced by arsey 'proper' critics and trolls.

Also a decent list on here might generate some traffic

Some really good films already been mentioned, here are a few of my favourites not currently on the list in no particular order, see what you think

Hot Fuzz
The Running Man (classic Arny!!)
The Rock

and at risk of being accused of total geekery
Star Trek II - The Wrath of Khan. Still comfortably the best ST film IMHO.

sure I'll think of more but that'll do for now

That's an easy one, the answer you are looking for is Hercules in New York he does a ton of running in that.

Battlefield Earth A Saga of the Year 3000 (so bad it's pure win!)

This film is what happens when you try to compress a questionably written if quite enjoyable 1000 page novel into 2 hours. I quite liked the book, but they had to cut the story in so many places that the film makes absolutely no sense unless you've read it, and precious little even then.

As you say, so bad it's good.

Good ones, I've add some to the OP.
There are some that have been said but I haven't but it on the OP, its not because I disagree but just cos I've never seen or heard of it so waiting for more people to agree/disagre/debate etc

Also feel free to challenge any that are in the list if you disagree
