So excited! (http://www.gametrailers.com/video/vga-10-tba-game-2/708369) I think I spent around 250+ hours playing Oblivion. :D

Nice! :ptu:
That is an awesome teaser. Part of me wants it to play more like oblivion than Fallout, but I have a feeling itll be more fallouty?
DO NOT do it, I tried, its like playing a crap fallout because the engine is nowhere near as refined :(
Fallout and Oblivion use the same engine, and a few of the same bugs with stuck quests, and issues with being stuck in the same terrain. I keep considering Fallout as I played it on a mates machine, but TBH I got very bored with Oblivion after a couple of weeks.
I liked both. Think I might have spent a little more time in Fallout than Oblivion though.
However I think I much prefer the Oblivion world to the Wasteland and/or New Vegas. There was something much cooler about wandering through a forest with waste high swards of grasses and plants and something running out of the undergrowth. And even though I am guessing there were similar numbers of different enemy types between the two games, Oblivion seemed much more varied.
I think I have a soft spot though for any game that tries to make melee and stringed weapons workable.

Something like VATS for archery and casting spells? Could be.
Using a new engine it seems, about time, assumedly new fallouts will use it too
Date of 11/11/11 well its Elder Scrolls and i look forward to it, but releasing around the sametime as GW2, is not going to do any favours for it :P
Just found this webpage. 11 articles that make me think Skyrim will be the best game of the year - for me anyway.
Skyrim articles (http://www.gameinformer.com/p/esv.aspx)
Read the stuff on improving the combat system. Sounds like all the issues from Oblivion have been addressed. Love the idea of dualcasting and multiple spell formats..

Gameplay Trailer:
Gameplay my arse :P, thats a trailer pure and simple :P
There's definitely a couple of seconds of gameplay in there.
More to the point. The games enviroment is looking very impressive. I just hope the improvements don't make the game any smaller..
I'm still very excited about this game. :w00t:
If indeed it does contain gameplay it looks a bit too good in places to run like that on current gen consoles tbh unless it really is amazingly well optimised :gag:
Looks pretty close to Oblivion/Fallout to me tbh
Some absolutely fricking awesome footage from E3 here:

Even a little jibe about horse armour. ;D
I wouldn't normally take the time to get into this kind of game, but for this I could make an exception, it looks like a real beaut! Wub

Quote18) So, the dragons are big and powerful. Did you include some destructible environment so they could leave marks and scars everywhere they attack? Can they demolish buildings, break trees, start avalanches, burn houses, things like this that emphasize their power?
Todd: They do leave marks and scars everywhere, but as far as destroying buildings and such, it's rare. It does happen, but not a lot. Systemically destroying our spaces is something we have not found a good way to handle yet, because it's so dynamic. We're dealing with places that we have NPCs living, and providing quests and other game services. It's something we avoid in every game unless we can specifically wipe it off the map, like Megaton.

Nice one with the Birthday Troll.
On another note the first 2 DLC's (http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2011-08-26-skyrim-dlc-timed-xbox-360-exclusive) have already been confirmed to be released on Xbox a full 30 days before PC and PS3.
Not that i care, days of free DLC's are gone on the PC and i won't buy them, so unless they are free.

Christ no, if they are able to announce the DLC before launch then it should be included with the release version of the game.
This means I'll give Skyrim a miss and do what I did with Dragon Age, wait for the final game of the year/collectors edition to be released that collates all of the DLC.

Ditto
Twenty minutes of game-play footage, with narration:
^Rivers look and sound amazing compared to Oblivion. :)
^Interesting that Atronachs are no longer segmented physics-wise (frost one is shown in this video), it was always fun to throw the shattered pieces of them around after defeating them.
I wonder if the same goes for skeletons, etcetera now.

I've recently bought 'The Witcher', how does this (and the old Oblivion) compare?
Also i've posted a thread for the cheapest pre-order I could find todate:

The Witcher 2 probably has a better combat system (buying it for 360 when it comes out), but then TES games are great for exploring huge, open worlds. :)
More gameplay footage:
You can make zombie chickens! ;D
I'm trying to decide if I want to dedicate time to play this or The Witcher 2. This looks absolutely awesome but The Witcher II seems to have an element missing from games today that I think i'll enjoy. From what i've read it seems to be aimed at more mature folks.
Even more new footage:
Two weeks to go! :D
Hilariously if you install to HDD before playing the 360 version high res textures are disabled!!! :o :o :o what a cockup! assumedly it will be patched!
I installed it and was going to slate it, though even with high res enabled it still looks like PC will outshine it loads (it still looks good on 360 though :))
People can't honestly expect console games to match up in appearance with bleeding edge PC graphics technology, maybe if the X-box 720 or PS4 was just out for the game to look pimp on, but not on such old hardware.

tbh it looks decent given the now creaky specs 8) I keep saying it, but it looks another where the PC is going to batter it, and the console boys I doubt will put up with this for long
I've already played sixteen hours so far, killed three dragons, joined the dark brotherhood and killed a bunch of people.
So awesome, and yet I've barely scratched the surface. :D

Random hilarity ensues. Also you can't take the ring off once you've put it on. :)
Xbox 360 wise - Do not install to console and you get better graphics. There is a bug at the moment. Longer load times but it looks better.
In terms of fun:
Avoid giants, lol.

Bit of an erratic bug too, seems like it's not affecting some players at all.
Good workaround for the moment is to install it to a USB stick rather the the HD, preferably the fastest one you've got. :)
That's how I'm playing it at the moment, and I've only encountered two different texture bugs so far:
The stream right next to the main entrance of Whiterun (runs underneath you) sometimes it only shows the specular map with no texture, so it looks more like liquid metal than water. Also a specific castle I came across somewhere seemed to have two different sets of textures applied to it, one on top of the other, made it flicker/strobe like crazy.
Plenty more patches to arrive in the future I expect, though nothing so far has affected my gameplay. :)
Sorry but you are not allowed to view spoiler contents.

Your spoiler wise - It is a bug. You are supposed to get a bonus but its way to much in terms of a horse.
You think horses are too overpowered? They seem fine to me.

Just beautiful. :)
I was cautious of this game tbh, yes it's 100% 'more of the same' but the presentation is amazing, I got given the main mission, then just wandered off and did my own thing the environments are the best I've seen and it just looks damn great ;D
I've decided to buy this now even though i have barely touched Deus Ex and Rage.
It is now available form Amazon at £19.99 free shipping
Anyone still playing this? I still haven't 'finished' it (if that's even possible!) :)
The 'Dragonborn' expansion/DLC just came out, it's really good, adds a whole new island (same one as was featured in a Morrowind add-on, 'Bloodmoon'), there's dragon riding, werebears, lots of cool new stuff.
