Bought House of Flying Daggers today from Music Zone, paid Ã,£5.97 for the special edition.  Watched it tonight and its good, well worth every penny and then some.

Smugs, how much did you pay for the Farscape boxset, I want to buy them but the cheapest I can find is about Ã,£50 online.  Ill bite the bullet and get them at that price eventually if I have to but Id much rather pay a lot less if I can.

Thats nothing Ive started to collect the Farscape box sets and the cheapest Ive found were Ã,£52.99 and thats after price reductions, the RRP is like Ã,£89.  :(

Its only 4 Series but at thoses prices with series 3 and 4 more than Ã,£70 it will be a while before I get them all.

Thats just the individual volumes sold togeather not the box sets but thanks for the link anyway.

I thought about buying just the volumes as it would work out slightly cheaper but I prefer Box Sets as they take up less room and look better.

Series 2 is Ã,£52.99 so ill get that in a few week Series 3 is like Ã,£65 and Series 4 is Ã,£89, so ill be waiting before I get those.

[EDIT]

Had a look on DVD.co.uk where I got my Farscape Series 1 set from and they have House Series 1 for Ã,£36.99 delivered

Yesterday I grabbed myself an utter bargain on Amazon Marketplace, Farscape Season 1 complete box set new Ã,£18.70 inc p&p.  Am rather chuffed as Smugs says there rather expensive, am sure I saw Season 2 on Amazon Marketplace new for about Ã,£32 so it seems to be the place to keep an eye on the prices.  TBH I was lucky but no reason not to keep an eye out just in case.

Its not awful its just not the same War of the Worlds as the original, theres a guy at work who hates it cause it aint a remake of the original.  Which is a shame cause its still a good film its just telling the War of the Worlds story from a different angle.  But thats debate for another thread  ;)

Well, Ive just dumped on it from a great height in my research piece, along with slightly less scathing criticism of the 50s George Pal one and the Orson Welles radio adaptation. The Pendragon Pictures version was poorly acted and executed, so ironically by far the best adaptation is Jeff Waynes musical.

Its a good film, providing you dont think of it as a tribute and leave the words War of the Worlds well and truly out of it.Otherwise its completely carp. The special effects are superb but its trying to pull something that was designed for 1890s into the 2000s and that just doesnt work.

[edit]I still like the 1953 versions ailen ships. [/edit]
