I love the prodigy, always have since I was young and I collect a few bits of their stuff, but they have just announced they're putting a film out for 'one night only' on a Thursday, and it's more expensive than a normal film! £2 more infact, making it £10.60 inc a booking fee.
What's worst it just seems to be mostly made up of recorded footage from the MK gig! Eeeeerm no thanks, get over yourselves, you can keep it lads! :-\
I think I might end up on the launch night guestlist for what you're talking about actually (my mate Ollie has had his photography from MK used, Keithy himself gave him props for the snaps!) I'm hoping if it's anything like the Pendulum DVD launch night I attended the free bar will be getting severely hammered ;D
Don't bother going to the Cinema anymore anyway, far too expensive.
Why would I want to pay nearly the price of the Blu-Ray to watch it in a small cramped seat, stuck to the floor with some chav nattering away on their phone?

Sheffield 08, taken off my old phone (20% of original size) I don't expect a free bar though, just some hotel size miniatures

Fairplay on the guestlist, but some nation/europe/world wide cinema thing for £10 a shot, ney thanks :tinhat:

Indeed, I guess they will end up 'eventually' releasing it onto dvd/bluray but not until they have fleeced fans for this latest stunt

I tried going to a Reel once, never again! It might be £3.50 a ticket but the screen was awful (blurry down one side and about the same size as a decent home projector) and the clientèle left something to be desired, half of it was noisy chavs and the other half brought their own picnics and noisily slurped and dribbled over their sausage rolls, cornish pasties and scotch eggs. Filthy place.
Not all cinemas are like that though.
I love the City Screen. Even at the normal price of £7.50 a ticket I prefer it to the cheaper alternative, but a £41.20 annual membership gets my better half and me 6 free tickets (including more expensive 3D showings), no booking fees, £2.00 off every ticket, 10% off food and drink and 20% off the bill at lots of restaurants around York. Comfy seats, lovely bar downstairs, friendly atmosphere and nice staff who don't tolerate chavs and kick them out the second they start with the mobile phones/laser pens/throwing popcorn around. The picture and sound quality are incredible as well, some of the best I've seen outside an IMax.

If it's the same thing I'm dead certain they are putting it to DVD, possibly BD. If the launch night comes to fruition I may be able to swing an extra +1 if you fancy rinsing it, I'll have to see what turns up.
Me and Nige were there last July anyway, so we wouldn't need to go see this anyway :D

As good as that sounds, is it really better than crying yourself to sleep to the calm hum of an empty travellodge mini bar?
LMAO there's no comparison really :D
I just go along for the booze, you can end up saying hello to the band if you're lucky too though.
So they just released that they're going to sell it on DVD/Blu-Ray too, after fleecing everyone for the cinema tickets
Their pursuit of money is getting ridiculous, branded chili sauce, condoms, bloody hell :-\
Yeah I knew it was coming. My mate did go to the premier screening, think he didn't have any invites though and it sounds like it was a let down overall, otherwise he'd have been on the blower telling me about how he "rinsed it".
You'd think they would be the last group to go down this road but I guess at some point every band does it. I'm not the FLC fan I once was because of the turn in the band's attitude - even towards their biggest fans - (Huey is still sound, it's the others that have gone off the rails). :( Their last album was a bit sh*te anyway, oh well.

Did you see that Boy Racer tv show he did?
He used to say things like "Fnagle the Bagle"
Nah I missed that, actually. His radio 6 show (http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b00zj1bf) was quite good the few times I checked it out though. He does have a very odd sense of humour, it's almost British
I think it was called slips.
They had two boy/girl racers with sh*t cars and an attitude.
They could select some mods, which mostly consisted of placebo, and the winner got the losers car.
