QuoteLed Zeppelin to confirm reunion

Led Zeppelin have sold more than 100 million albums in the US alone
Rock group Led Zeppelin are expected to announce a one-off reunion concert at a press conference on Wednesday.

Singer Robert Plant, guitarist Jimmy Page and bassist John Paul Jones, split after drummer John Bonham died in 1980.

The trio, who have not performed live for 19 years, are expected to be joined by Bonhams son Jason for the reunion.

So three of them, better than bucks fizz I suppose :D Might have been a little problematic digging up Bonham though ... and I dont think hes that hot on playing the drums any more :/ Might make a good job at strumming the harp though ;)

Considering their contemporarys who are still playing run to maybe £35 a ticket, I think not. The Zep are good certainly, you could even argue that they are the best (I wouldnt mind, Im a Deep Purple fan), but they arent worth £125 a ticket.

Ill probably buy the album though assuming they record said concert.

ARGHHHHHHH, NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

The FAQs on the Ahmet Tribute website have just changed and now say this......

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Updated 2nd OCTOBER 2007

1. I didnt win but I have obtained a passcode that does not belong to me can I use it?

All bookings will be cross checked against the details of the registration that was issued the passcode and if the details do not match then the booking will be cancelled and the tickets returned to the ballot.v

2. My friend registered for me / my friend won but he doesnt have a credit card / my friend wants me to have their tickets is that ok?

No, only the winners of the public ballot can purchase the tickets as this is the only way to ensure that all fans have an equal and fair chance of obtaining tickets.

Meaning, I wont be going now :(

Erm seller.....walrusbonzo lol???

I really dont get the hype over this.  If it was in the day, there yes sure.  But for a band that havent played together in how many years?  Its going to be far from a vintage performance from a remaining line up.

Money will do strange things.

People are threatening Harvey Goldsmith with legal action if their tickets are cancelled.  You cant go around changing terms and conditions AFTER people have bought tickets and have confirmation from TicketMaster.

Some people are going to the press over it as well, the guy hasnt a leg to stand on.

Whole load of unhappy people here - http://www.harveygoldsmith.com/comments.php?blog=28

Ahh, its a Harvey Goldsmith cock up. That may explain things, the mans an utter cock and pathological liar to boot if that TV show he did not too long ago was anything to go by.

Yeah, I bought a passcode on the morning of 2nd October, then bought 2 tickets straight afterwards.  Later that day stuff starting come out about cross referencing the name on the ticket booking with the winner of the passcode.

There was absolutely no mention of this anywhere before hand and hundreds have fell into the same trap as me with Harvey Goldsmith threating to cancel the tickets.

Its not a pleasant situation :(
