Granted its never been the same without wibble wobble woss, linekar, mcgrath, gower & hancock.
QuoteSporting panel show They Think Its All Over has been axed after eleven years and twenty series.
In a statement, the BBC said that the quiz had reached its "natural conclusion". The final episode aired earlier this month.
BBC One controller Peter Fincham paid tribute to the shows "sheer unadulterated fun".
He added: "It re-wrote the rule book by bringing comedy and sport together in a fresh and anarchic way."
The only sports quiz show I would ever watch, its demise isnt untimely though. It is a good thing its being put to rest while it is still remembered for its prime.
Thank the lord - utterly, utterly attrocious from day one, in fact id rather experience acute radiation sickness than watch that scripted sh*te...
Id disagree with it being scripted. If anythings fixed then its Nevermind the Buzzcocks but who cares. Its just entertainment and both are great.
Shame but it was starting to get old and was never the same after Lineker and that left.
It was total crap.
The original HIGNFY is still superior by about 10,000%

Alot of it is scripted, i read the autobiography of Matthew Pinsent [he went on the show a few times] and he said in the book that alot of what was said on the show was scripted - the jokes etc.
To be honest it didnt need to be said, the way in which answers were given and the way the panel members paused for each other was cringeworthy. Also, Ross, McGrath (sp) etc. were crude, purile clowns on it - good riddance and the same to all panel shows of that ilk (as well as the people who went on them), waste of licence money.
NOTE: Hancock has now been shoved off TV altogther and works for EARTH mortgages - shows what the BBC though of him.

Woss was what put me off watching it, he wasnt on there originally AFAIK.
