Title: TV Sockets
Post by: Privateer on October 11, 2007, 09:39:05 AM
Ive never gone down  the HD route because they lack sockets, my current TV, has 4 sockets, 3 at back, and one in front, the front one is S.video or phono, bloody handy.
I use all 4, because of my disability, moving TVs and dvd players and Virgin boxes is impossible, hence the very handy, well used front socket.

is there a HD TV out with 4 sockets.

my TV at the moment has 2 scart and a S-Video on the back, on the front is another S-Video and 3 phonos, a perfect set up.

I use the front with every new device I buy, the back has my, DVD player, Virgin box and my TV out from my PC, in a permanent socket.

Even my PC has a USB, extensions on it.

It looks like Ill have to do that.

I see what you mean now.

So are you after a HD LCD, which has easy accessible sockets? My samsung has a lot of the sockets on the side, and it pivets easy on its stand. I dont think many flat screens will have the sockets on the front TBH.

Mine is a Samsung LE40R87BDX and has:
1 X HEADPHONE
1 X S-VIDEO
1 X RF INPUT
2 X SCART
3 X HDMI
1 X PC INPUT
1 X AUDIO OUT
1 X OPTICAL SOUND OUT

I dont see many TVs these days without some form of side/front input.  Its usually just the RCA composite input and a S-Video.
