Title: Upgrade, or sidegrade?
Post by: White Giant on January 20, 2008, 18:56:59 PM
Currently using a 7800GS OC (http://www.elitebastards.com/cms/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=138&Itemid=27)

Im thinking about getting this : http://www.tekheads.co.uk/s/product?product=606813 and giving the former to the missus as shes still using a 6600GT.

Would it be worth it? Im stuck with AGP and I thought this might breathe a little life into my system. I havent kept up with hardware for the past few years so Im a little sketchy on the details.

AMD64 3700
2Gb DDR
Asus A8V
blah blah.

Upgrade to an 8800gt if a suitable one is available?

Personally I would leave as is and buy an entire new system unit later on in the year, pass the old one on to your missus and the other can be used by your kiddies, or sold.
