Title: USB TV Cardage
Post by: M3ta7h3ad on July 23, 2006, 12:35:11 PM
Ello!

Been thinking about getting some TV on my PC for a while, and after trying 2 tv cards, 1 resulted in crap picture and crrrrrrrrrrrrrrrraackle sound, the other bought from here resulted in great quality picture but no sound at all.

Im fed up of PCI cards for it.

Soooooo...

Whats the deal with USB DVB-T adapters? Any good? Any recognised by mythTV? or MCE? Anyone recommend any?

Ideally Id like to record TV and watch another channel so as I understand it that requires dual tuners, but im also happy with a simple single tuner affair.

So folks stump up your ideas! :D

I have a terratec cinergy t2 USB, works fine, what to look for is good software in the packet and maybe a more expensive with dual recivers to watch and record at the same time.

You may want to check if the potential purchase is Media Centre compatible in case you decide to install at a later date.  I bought a tv-card and then decided to install MCE and unfortunately it was not supported.  I know most of them are but it may be something to think about.
