Hi all,
New to this forum. I wonder if anyone could advise me in putting together a water cooling kit that I can use with 3-4 radiators (fan assisted) to cool my vented AV cabinet.
I am open to ideas as it is a fairly new build, I could just use inlet and exhaust fans but I am trying to reduce dust in the long term, and think water cooling may hold the key!
Ideally I would like a 240V AC pump, but again I am flexible.
Many thanks, I look forward to the advice.
So what do you want cooled? Just the air inside the cabinet? If so, why are you considering watercooling? Just get some fans! If youre talking about the actual hardware, then let us know specs...
[Edit: By the sounds of it, you just want to cool the air, presumably by running 2 sets of radiators, one inside the cabinet getting heated by the warm air, and one outside getting cooled by room temperature air... Is this correct? If so, I doubt that you will get any form of performance, and certainly nowhere near the performance of just cutting some holes in the side and installing some 120mms. If youre that worried about dust, then grab some filters for them, Im sure someone will link you to some suitable products @ Tek or elsewhere. ]

You were spot on, I figured a couple of radiators on the inside and one out would keep nice and cool. But most importantly I was looking at sound or rather lack of it!
Looks like I will be going the 120mm fan route and no water cooling 8-) Thanks for helping me make my mind up.
No worries. If you want complete silence (especially with dust filters) then youll want a fan controller. Not sure how youd go about getting your supply voltages though, Im sure Maplin would hook you up.
