Phone activation isn't so bad and most times it will work when online won't, and if it doesn't it puts you through to someone and you just say you had a virus on your pc and had to reinstall windows.

I would have to agree with Pete, i used up all my activations in XP during the days of Gurureview doing full reinstall's for review GPU's etc and had to call them a fair bit, now i believe XP activation is fully automated which makes it even easier.
