all brokers who deal in this kind of stuff. Not sure about just a one off unit though.

I doubt Mark will sell it for £30 in the first place. But Rivkid is right, its not just common IT/Network equipment that gets sold through the Bay, you can always try listing it, you never know who maybe watching and Ebay has the largest coverage, no question about that.

Best off having a 99p start with a reserve otherwise it will bump the listing fee substantially.

I wouldnt put it on an auction Id put it on as a buy it now at a reasonable price. When I worked RSS sales I knew loads of installers that bought in this fashion and beleive me youd be amazed some of the big names intergration houses that will do the same when they get stuck. Thats not an opinion either its a fact.

Yep, nowhere uses new items when they can avoid it. Try getting parts for servers 6 or 7 year old.. they are all reconditioned parts, sourced from wherever they can.
was you aware that nasa once went through a stage of buying up 486DX40 processors off ebay? they was used on some design that basically fried the chip everytime it done, whatever it was supposed to do.
The satellite industry bought up 8 bit processors like the Zilog z80 because of their use in orbital navigation systems. The known reliability of the software combined with that of the processors meant that changing them over was problematic. They worked and were powerful enough for the job so they didnt change them.
Converting to a new CPU would mean rewriting the software and possibly introducing new, unknown, bugs with potentially fatal consequences.
