not sure the first parts been true for a long time anyway. Years ago PCs would beat anything hands down but not anymore. FPS are still nice on mouse and keyboard but anything else I prefer on my 360 now. They just work...

In terms of playability or reliability? Each one handles certain games better. Simulations, RTS, etc are generally crap on consoles, but racing games and quick pick up and play action affairs are always better to get into on consoles.

FPS games especially on consoles are generally not good at all in terms of controls, IME. Id much rather have the trusty mouse + keyboard combo. And Id PWN you.

true - but remember the FPS genre doesnt have all the top games now like it used to. Thats why going back a few years PCs owned because all the top games were FPS or RTS. Not so now and games like GoW, Assassins Creed, Mass Effect etc.. are IMO loads better on consoles.

KoToR was a good example of how PC controls can ruin a great console game. So the door swings both ways...

RTS games are the only games I dont think work on consoles yet. FPSs work fine but us PC people have to get over the fact you have to use a controller.

Every RTS Ive played on console (LOTR: BFME2 & C&C3 come to mind) havent worked, controls you can get used to (eventually) but the games have always looked crap and soon as you started a big fight started to lag like a bastard.

edit: Actually as said above simulations start to have issues aswell but thats becuase of the lack of buttons on a controller. You would either have to have weird and wacky combos or release a specal contoller for it (Steel Batalion for example)
