Im with toucan. Quite cheap £17/month. Im connected at 8meg and have unlimited downloads. The only thing Id say is the downloads dont seem to be the fastest TBH, so if you need super fast downloads I maybe wouldnt go with them........although, I only really use torrents so the speeds arent going to be top notch.

Im with virgin.

20mbit here. :) Cap is 3gb between the hours of 4 and 10pm I believe, if you go over you get to go slower for 4hours from the time of the infraction, after the 4hours... back to normal speed, and thats a daily limit so not so bad really :D

That said, I dont think Ive been capped once yet and ive hammered it. :D

So far Im thinking the Eclipse £19.99 business line is my best bet:

Unlimited usage
8mbps
448kbps upstream
performance priority over residential customers
support priority
dirt cheap calls with their business phone package

Ive yet to be swayed by any other packages.

Woot, I smell a free month. :D

Oh, just make sure youre gonna use the package for at least 12 months, or theyll charge £47 cancellation fee.

Out of interest what stops you from signing up to a business pacakge at a residential address?

Obviously several buisnesses are run out of bedrooms or MDs VPN into work with their home connection and all that.....

....but my point/question is dont you have to register up under a buisness name of some sorts?

Nothing stops you really, Eclipse seem to practically invite you to switch/upgrade to business packages :)

Besides, if they do ask for a business name Im an MD these days, umbrellas are a useful thing

nooooooooooooooooooooooooo

Ive just binned Eclipse.

In summary, I got sick of 2kb connection speeds.

I had a problem they couldnt diagnose.

They provided me a MAC code I couldnt use.

Then my phone line was cut off, re-instated and they couldnt reprovision the service.

Now theyre trying to charge me 47 notes to leave. disgraceful.

Myself and Sam work from home and have used Eclipse for years now, no problems 99% of the time for us. Im happy to stick with them, especially on a priority business line.
