Just fitted a Radeon 3870 to my HTPC.
Im getting an wierd problem; when ever a settings type window is open (ATI, task manager, sound control) I get these strange blue and sometimes yellow lines.
Theyre even flickering across during video playback.
Anyone have any ideas what it could be? Using the latest drivers off the ATI site.
Quite possibly the Graphics card might be faulty, iv seen this happen before with an older ATI card my mate had, you could try re-seating the card again, try the graphics card into another PCI-E slot or even try another DVI connection to your monitor if you have one or VGA?

Possibly overheating.
Hmmm..... turns out the top of the heatsink is touching the case lid.
I went for a PowerColor 3870 with non-standard cooler;

Problem is my case is the Antec Fusion and the top of the cooler touches the case lid by a mm. Im guessing the lid mightve been pushing the cooler off or something.
Took the lid off and re-seated it with a bit more care, all seems OK now.
Just waiting for the Antec Fusion Max to come out so I can slap a AS Accelero S1 on there for some passive lovin :)
