Title: Windows & USB
Post by: brummie on April 03, 2006, 14:37:02 PM
I have here a USB composite device (v1.1) that was working fine till last night when it apperently exeeded the bandwidth limit (480MBS??).
Now when i try to install it with either new or the original drivers then XP tells me they are not the correct drivers (or as XP puts it - software) for the device.
Anyone know WTF is going on here??

heh, wasnt sure man.

reboot, flip into the bios and turn the USB off.

Reboot agian into windows and remove any mentions of USB.  Then reboot agian, then reboot again going into the BIOS turn the USB back on and install the drivers as it requests you to.
long winded, but usually works
