Title: Wiring a patch panel

Is it as straight forward as following the colours on the back?  They don't seem to match up with the wiring in the patch cables I've got :S

as long as the diagram is 568B then yea.. follow the colours.

Also presuming the electrician has done his job properly up to to the socket.

That would be me :-)
I worked out what the problem was, 4 of the wires go to the top connectors and the other 4 go to the bottom of connector
