Title: Wirless Access Point 2
Post by: Coded on September 25, 2007, 18:47:18 PM
Didnt want to hijack the other thread..so :

We have a netgear wireless modem/router. But we have two computers upstairs and then the laptops are downstairs in the conservatory (yes we have a lot of network cables running from the attic). We have a second hub in the conservatory for whoever wants to connect.

My dad wants to get rid of the network cables downstairs, but the wireless cuts out as you get to the conservatory. So will it be possible to connect a wireless access point to the hub downstairs?

I assume assume the wireless access point has a wep/password on it?

Thanks in advance.

You can connect a wi-fi point from almost anywhere without adding to your problems. If you dont have the range still then you can use a repeater.

Check for other people using wi-fi too, there may be some issues if you live in a built up area.
