The premise is good but it looks like it's going to be executed entirely with kids in mind; kids that probably wouldn't recognise many of the characters anyway, which is a shame as it probably will end up being puerile when it actually has the potential to be something really grand if it were in the hands of people like Pixar.

Perhaps. But then they've already won me over by doing this:
'Fake' (actually playable, same as the game on the website) 'Fix-it-Felix' arcade cabinets cunningly/innocuously placed in geek conventions across the USA, and with a convincing enough back-story to make people believe it actually existed as an 80's arcade game. 8)
