My personal opinion on netgear has dropped. I find its now overpriced tat.
Your better with a Linksys or an SMC.
Ive got a Linksys, and dont really rate it, as its broke once, so got it replace and it broke again, this wireless works still though so have kept it.
Can you easily connect the 360 up to any wireless router though??
DOnt touch the new WAG54G series with a bargepole, their cable routers are still excellent, their ADSL routers are crap. Ive taken 2 out BEFORE they screw up and e-bayed them.
sounds like belkin, dont touch the adsl stuff, but the cable stuff are great

Thats what ive got at the moment! the wireless is working still, but the ports for connecting them by wires dont work
Ordered the Netgear!! Will give them a go as not used them before, and I didnt think the price was too bad really.

I had an 834GT before I had the WRT-54GS im using now. Was flawless, i sold it to Nimrod if my memory serves. Ask him how its working, i assume its still ok as ive not heard owt since.
As long as your router will allow you to port-forward/map port 88 (UDP) and port 3074(TCP/UDP) then you can use it with the XBox.
Not quite true. I had to bin a Voyager 1500 as it wouldnt allow the MTU to sit at 1500. Live used to fail all the time.
Got a WRT54GS.

That cannot be right as a MTU of 1500 is for Ethernet/Cable (NTL); ADSL cannot cope with packets that large.
edit:
MS say that XBoxLive! will work with a minimum MTU of 1365.
http://www.xbox.com/en-US/support/connecttolive/xbox/connectionmethods/diagnosingconnections.htmThat same page contains a link to officially supported routers:

The voyager 1500 is a cable router ;)
search for voyager 1500 and you will find thousands of pages complaining that the router wont work on live properly. Didnt even work through the DMZ. Worked fine connected straight to the modem but everyone else in the house complained that they couldnt use the net.
Sorry, I thought he was on about ADSL for some reason.
I had a problem with MTU on my Cisco router but that turned out to be a config issue; I was dropping ICMP Packet too big messages and so Live! was not able to determine the MTU of my setup ! (I wonder whether enabling ping responses on the Voyager would fix the problem *shrug*)
Dont get that option on the voyager.
Well that really is a POS then isnt it :D
lives been fine on my netgear DG834
UPNP meant no config required for me, turned it on and battled away
