Agreed. With the latest move microsoft have just cut their market for vista by more than half Id imagine.

There is no point upgrading to vista right now unless you want DX10 and swishyness.

MS have a low spec system discount for for XP for Systems such as the Eee and OLPC

OEMs pay an absolute pittance for XP OEM

My brother bought a cheap laptop from Currys today, under 300 squid with Vista premium installed on it.

If you take into account the hardware they cant be paying that much for Vista either.

This is my point, they both cost around the same price for single license to a system builder.

/wonders if they will release a Home XP-EEEE Edition Lite OEM to system builders to counter the fact all these EEE EEE EEE pcs use linux
