Just got one for parking in a disable space even though ive parked there for the last 2years - i was only there for 5mins :(
Anyway...whatever. Ive filled in the "part2" section but do i have to take any documents to the police station? Dont quite understand the back of the ticket - it says you do but im unsure if thats to do with just people that are going to court.
Cheers
Coded
Youve been parking in disabled space for 2 years? :slap:
Most places in the world, you can just mail it in, or pay cash at the local station with ticket in hand.
Well tbh i never really noticed it was disabled. Reason?
1)Everyone parks there
2) Its right next door to a short-stay parking thing, it one of these by the side of the road parking place
LOL, the ole "everybodys doin it" defense. :P
Just pay the durn thing and pay attention next time.
You shouldnt need anything other than the ticket and dosh. I was nearly caught on the same thing years ago when the local council put up a load of new disabled lots :o It happend that people to get used to parking in a space and then find the council had changed it months ago.
I know theres no excuse, just never thought of about it before, plus i swear the sign on the floor is faded ;)
I got issued a parking ticket in Salisbury...for parking without an valid ticket at 8.24am when they start charging at 8am.
You would think thats a valid ticket....but oh no. I am a local resident and as such get special dispensation to park in the pay&display car park becuase its outside my own backdoor and there is no other street parking !!
I stormed into the local council office and placed the ticket on the receptionists desk and said.."I have paid my residences permit licence I am paying the parking wardens wages through my council tax I do NOT expect to be issued with parking tickets for parking outside my own front door...kindly take down any details you need becuase I will not be paying this ticket and any further correspondance about this matter will be forwarded to the Salisbury Journal (Local paper)."
As you may guess parking is a hot issue were I live.
Ours is restricted during 9am-6pm to one hour no return for one hour but I havent seen many wardens, actually I havent seen *any* wardens. Still we have a free parking permit so we can ignore the restriction :)
Ive had 2 in my lifetime for going over the display ticket time.
once for parking in a loading zone.... only i was in a van, and was unloading (was inside the shop when i got it)
had even left the back doors wide open... b******s
arguied about it and got off tho !
I was unloading ! plus we had our own private parking space 20feet away anyway (right next to our shop)
got a speeding ticket... then forgot to pay it ! so ended up with a Ã,£90 fine :o
