Quick straw poll out of curiosity really. After reading this (http://www.theregister.co.uk/2006/05/05/uswitch_survey/) article, it appears that customers of the big three (NTL, BT, AOL) arent happy with the service their ISPs are providing.
For the record, I am happy with mine (NTL). The service has been reliable apart from a blip last week which necessitated a cable modem change. NTL tech support were remarkably quick in answering the phone, the operative did a few quick tests, arranged to have an engineer sent out and I was off the phone in less than 15 minutes. Even more amazingly, the engineer turned up when he was supposed to and got everything sorted incredibly quickly.
So how about you?
NTL.. hell no, the connection keeps dropping and wont hold the 1mb they advertise, streaming video sucks and the upstream is shockingly slow.

Nildram = win! :thumbup:
Pipex have been good for nealy four years now.
Ive been a Freeonline (Plusnet) user for 5 years and Im not complaining. I do wonder what effect the talked-about shakeup of the market that the recent TalkTalk offer will have though.
Pipex gives a good, full 1Mbit/sec and is virtually always there so no complaints here. A lot more bandwidth would be nice but chances are I wouldnt use it.
Freedom2Surf = crappy poo turd.
They were great but after being bought out by Pipex (iirc) they have gone to pieces. Regularly on hold to support for 1hr+ before anyone answers and then they just fob off with crap excuses like "it must be your PC".
I am on an 8mb service, my line syncs at 2.5mb and I get an average download speed of ~512kb :(
When I first joined them I was on a 2mb connection and got 2mb download :(
STAY WELL CLEAR IMVHO.
Just moved to telewest after being on plusnet for ~3 years. I left becuase they introduced the Fair Usage thing in an inappropriate way.
im with BT...... never had a problem in 4 years, superb stuff... no reason for me to change to be honest.
Telewest, perfect
janet = the uber win ;)
when im at home, ntl = good enough

I was with Nildram for years and was very happy with their service! Cant fault them at all (except for being more expensice than other rivals) and Im now with Telewest and again we have no problems at all.

Whos youre ISP me old fruit ?
Bulldog have been ok, pretty useless customer service staff but ive had no problem with the line itself.
Connect at 4mb/s on my 8mb/s line, steady 300kb/s down.
Happy with it for the price.
NTL 1024/128 (1mb) Ã,£17.99 p/m
Great - In Salisbury, I had some real problems to start with, but those were hardware cabling faults locally, and after 2/3 engineer callouts to fix lost service (cable outside building was loose and contacts corroded..all replaced.) its been faultless for nearly 3 years.
