They are one of those things that sound like a good idea, except when you start to look at one closely you arent going to use it very often and the product is a single small loaf which took ages to do. really you buy one and it sits around doing nothing cause its cheaper in time and money to go out and buy a ready made one.
If you want to make your own bread find out how to do it the old way, you can make a few loaves and freeze them.

tbh though, shop bought stuff tastes nicer than the homemade stuff - its only worth it if you like funny bread like walnut & date or whatever. I dont.

Evidently the most useless Kitchen Applicance however is the wine-bottle stopper, I mean, come on, who doesnt finish the bottle in one sitting?!
My brother uses his all the time and makes some really delicious loaves. Maybe you all just suck at it? :P

No, just I know of several people who have bought these and none of them use the things.
I occasionally drink half a bottle, but then again its usually 16% by volume stuff drank with a meal.

Not if you have a big one and make a whole jug full then drink it by the pint pot like I used to. One fill in the morning when I got up and I was fixed for half the day.

Dependent on type. I use a filter jug which gets used all the time. Although recently got married and recieved a Gaggia espresso/cappucino maker (the one with the handle) which makes really ace coffee but it is a bit of a pain to make and is a bit time consuming. We use a coffee maker in work which makes filter coffee and that is ace. Also have a bean grinder which is really cool as it leaves a ground coffee smell in the flat which is somewhat moreish.
As for bread maker ... I agree; probably one of those machines that would not get used very often. Like ice cream makers, pizza makers and the like ... much easier to just go out and buy some supermarket stuff. Pizza Express pizzas and Hargen Daz .... mmmmm!!!!

Any half decent break maker isnt time consuming to use though as it should have auto kneading, you just throw in the ingredients and it does all the work, some even have timed baking.
Weve got a bread maker at home, and yeah its a faff sometimes, but what makes everything a lot easier is the packets of flour/yeast etc you get in supermarkets and just add water too. Just pour the packet into the mixer, add water and off you go, much quicker and easier than messing around making your own. And they taste great, especially just after its finished, you cant beat the crust off fresh warm bread & butter.
As for coffee makers yeah Ive got one, dont use it much but its worth it, every now and then I get some Jamacian Blue Mountain which is Ã,£10 a quarter. So its worth having just for that, most of the time its instant though, quicker and easier.
Clockd, nearly all have those features but lots of them still never get used or just once. People get them and then just dont bother.
I got a cappa maker, it makes great coffee but its a pita steaming the milk n cleaning it all afterwards. Also its a bit too short so you cant use normal coffee mugs.
Id nominate the microwave, I mean is there such a thing as a nice microwave meal?
Now dont be nasty about microwaves I love them. Ok proper microwave food isnt that good but damn its handy for warming things up and defrosting.

Aye there is, well was, Tesco used to do a Chicken in Hot Pepper sauce (sort of like a spicy cheese sauce) with a potato hash that was to die for, they havent done it for about two years now :( Oh and I only ever get frozen curries, my parents dont like curries so I get some when theyre on offer and have them every now and then.
Just avoid the very cheap and nasty stuff and they aint always bad. They aint always good either like lol
M&S tinned chicken curry is the way to go if you cant be bothered to make a proper one. Half-and-Half chips-and-rice for a meal fit for a king.

yeah M&S chicken curry is really nice, tis a while since Ive had a tin, hmm might have to get one next time Im in there. I do rather like M&S food, just finished a 2 slice pack of Belgian Chocalate Cheesecake thats devine. And no I didnt have both slices in one go before anyone asks, that would be being gready, hmmm maybe next time though.

Does she still salt the water she cooks the veggies in? How about mashed potato?
I now use no salt to cook with, even if Im using a recipe. Even the butter I use is salt free.
