Gotta be careful telling jokes to burglars, if its racist or sexist you could offend his sensibilities and then he could sue you. Best off just phoning the police in that situation

Well in this case they did not know they had a burglar until they told the joke, I see what you are getting at if a burglar slips on your unsanded walkway while getting out of your house they can sue you.
