Title: Cramps
Post by: Privateer on April 04, 2008, 09:55:23 AM
I got them eating breakfast on the side of my mouth, Im used to cramps on my arms, legs and bottom of my feet, get them daily, The minutes after are so painful, whats worse is in my case no drugs can stop them, hopefully the Stem Cell injections will stop it, nothing else does, Im not moaning Im saying what happens with Ataxia SC1.

Ive drunk more Quinine water, than whats in a lake, my doctor tried  me on every cramp pill going,  Im currently on
Quinine sulphate, useless for me.

My jaw clicked out of place last year and occasionally goes really tight and clicks a lot, I find that annoying enough. Cramp while eating would do my head in. I hope this is one of those things that gets sorted out for you.

The bane of my existence...uber burgers...they demand to be eaten without the filling removed. This results in overextending my jaw to the point where it seems your mouth no longer wants to close and instead tries to open even wider on its own. Its painful and sucky as inevitably it ruins the enjoyment of your food :( Hope the injections help.

Cramps can also be caused by a lack of salt.

Wonderful stuff, except it inevitably doesnt work for me either. Im presently on Robaxin (methocarbamol) which doesnt stop the normal cramps either. What it does prevent is me waking up, moving and tearing muscles. Its not moving that does it, just starts the problem and the muscles tighten involuntarily.
