Title: Disproportionate Representation
Post by: Pete on November 25, 2006, 15:27:08 PM
Why is it everytime they do a wildlife programme about the sea they always spend half hour on turtles laying eggs in the sand? Bloody turtles!

Sharks which are way more interesting only get about 5 minutes and then everything else gets a 1-5second shot.

Its not fair and it paints a false picture of sealife.

I think its time that other species get screen time, namely:

* Sea Cucumbers
* Haddocks
* Penguins
* Lobsters
* Nudibranchs
* StoneFishs
* Harlequin Shrimp
* Penguins
* Manta Rays
* Giant Killer Octopusses
* Penguins
* Deep Sea Weirdos

Some cool pics - http://www.conceptart.org/forums/showthread.php?t=19383

Look how awesome blob fishes are!

That   giant woodlouse on page2 is gonna give me so many nightmares, it needs to be on tv more so we can learn that really its a cute and fluffy thing that eats vegetables.
